Last weekend (February 13 - 15), May and I attended Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) in Austin, TX. It was a great event with the most motivated group of students I have ever met. May was a panelist on the working session titled “PEACE & HUMAN RIGHTS: Raising Hope: Taking Action to Protect and Empower Women.” You can see her in all her awesomeness here. I had the chance to speak at the skill building session on “Building an Organization,” which you can see here.
1Well had a table at the CGI Exchange networking event and we met with dozens of students about their projects and how they may be able to leverage the 1Well model. We also had a chance to talk with several leading organizations, including GlobalGiving, Echoing Green, Tillman Foundation, A Glimmer of Hope, TOMS Shoes, $2 Challenge and many others. Keep your eyes open for some existing partnerships soon.
Thank you and congratulations May! And thank you to CGI, the Clinton Foundation, and all the students that made it such a great weekend.
Oh, and I would be remiss in saying that the best part was the comedy skit by John Oliver from the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Brilliant! Especially the joke about the guy who got his head stuck in the subway train door…
Cheers,
Dan

Thank you and congratulations May! And thank you to CGI, the Clinton Foundation, and all the students that made it such a great weekend.
